Technology · engineered for trust

Advanced technology, disciplined by laboratory-grade quality.

NovaLabs unites modern diagnostic analyzers, cloud-connected information systems, and physician-led oversight into a single, accredited network — bringing laboratory-grade testing closer to our communities without compromising on quality.

Our innovation is in the delivery, and our priority is accessibility. We integrate point-of-care analyzers and cloud-based information systems into a distributed hub-and-spoke network to enable results in hours, not days. Testing is performed under accredited quality control and the supervision of our laboratory physicians.

Point-of-care testing is one half of what we do. The other is an extensive central menu, performed at our own and partnered laboratories, so a clinic can order everything from a rapid respiratory panel to a comprehensive wellness assessment on one requisition.

our commitment

Principles that extend beyond laboratory operations.

Our principles shape more than how we test — they guide who we serve, how we partner, and where we reinvest. NovaLabs is built around four commitments.

Canadian-owned and operated

Ownership, operations and patient data all remain in Canada, under Canadian privacy law. Supporting local healthcare infrastructure, with a long-term commitment to the province’s healthcare needs.

Mission-driven organization

A social mandate that designates a portion of our net profit toward rural healthcare accessibility and underserved communities across British Columbia.

Inclusive practitioner access

Open to licensed healthcare practitioners — physicians, naturopathic doctors, and pharmacists — expanding access to quality diagnostics.

Point-of-care network model

Prioritizing community access and specimen integrity through distributed testing under centralized clinical oversight — results delivered in the community.

Who can order

Every practitioner is licensed to order testing, on the same terms.

A requisition from a naturopathic doctor or a pharmacist is accepted on exactly the same basis as one from a physician — same menu, same turnaround, same accredited report. We verify your licence against the public register at registration, and that is the whole of it.

The physician-only requisition is a convention inherited from an older model of care, not a clinical or regulatory requirement. Practitioners licensed to order diagnostic testing in British Columbia should be able to order it.
